People tend to be ethnocentric because they feel more comfortable in their own cultural setting rather than other’s cultural setting. They become uncomfortable in other culture, race or religious group because the behaviour, belief of people is different than their own. They believe that their heritage is better than others and this is a problem of racism and prejudice. Globalisation tends to destroy the local cultures and tries to create a similar culture around the world.
